Our Story

Causeway Hospital Radio first went on air on 15 October 2001, the same year the new Causeway Hospital opened in Coleraine.

A recognised charity and member of the UK Hospital Broadcasting Association (HBA), CH Radio broadcasts daily from a professional studio at the heart of the hospital.

Music, Comfort and Company

Hospital radio helps make patients’ time in hospital a little easier. Through easy listening music, entertainment and friendly conversation, we offer comfort and company during what can be a stressful time.

Our programmes help keep spirits up, provide a link with family and friends, and bring a personal touch to the day. We also help patients stay connected with life beyond the hospital, sharing what is happening in the wider community.

The People Behind the Station

Our membership has steadily grown, enabling us to provide programmes every day of the week. Our volunteers give their time, enthusiasm and individual personalities to CH Radio, helping bring music, conversation and companionship to our listeners.
